Responsibilities

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Excavator Operator to join our operations team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering civil construction and infrastructure projects by operating a variety of excavator machinery across roadworks, earthworks, drainage, and rail/renewable sites.

Key Accountabilities:

• Operate excavators safely and efficiently across a range of projects.
• Carry out trenching, detailed excavation, final trim and bulk earthworks.
• Conduct daily pre-start checks and report maintenance needs.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, ground crew, and other operators.
• Ensure compliance with site safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Assist with other plant operation tasks when required.
• Maintain care of plant, equipment and a tidy worksite.

Qualifications

• Current Excavator competency/ticket (RII).
• Civil construction experience (roads, drainage, rail or similar preferred).
• Construction White Card.
• Strong awareness of safe work practices and ability to follow site procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to working as part of a team.
• Additional tickets (e.g. Roller, Loader, Skid Steer, HR Licence) highly regarded.
• Experience using Topcon or GPS machine control preferred but not essential.
