Project Overview

Joe Wagner Group was contracted by CS Energy to deliver the civil works for the second In-Pit Ash Cell (IPAC 2) at the Kogan Creek Power Station. The works were integral to long-term ash management and environmental compliance for the site.

Project Scope

• Dam wall construction with 4,000 m³ of select fill
• Subgrade prep and installation of 110,000 m² LLDPE liner
• Ground surface treatment using impact rollers
• 6,400 m³ of riprap for spillway protection
• Drainage works including 750mm crest drainage and culverts
• Pavement works and erosion control measures

Project Outcomes / Highlights

• Delivered despite major rainfall and site evacuation
• Maintained program using effective dewatering plans
• No LTIs; coordinated with Fab Tech for liner install
• Enhanced operational readiness for ash management
